Help! My Team Is Good?
Roger Cormier isn't complaining about the Mets taking four out of five from Atlanta to take control of the NL East race, but also... this is all kinda weird, isn't it?

The New York Mets are good. Very good. They might be great. I won't give them that compliment just yet, not due to a failing on their part so much as it's too early to know it to be true.
But they are very, very good. This is only the seventh time in 61 seasons that the Mets have reached 30 games over .500. It's the first time since 2006. After 109 games, only the champion 1986 version had a better record than the 70-39 mark the 2022 Mets have now. They do the little things right, because their manager knows what Bush knew in the nineties, that the Little Things can kill. It's been so long since the opponents were the team committing bad fundies and pooping the bed and not the Mets. So very long.
