It's Over
Baseball extends our summers into November, but the end of the World Series slams us straight into winter, where there's nothing to find but cold comfort

Baseball season ending on the same night we set the clocks back was very fitting. Now begins the coming of winter. The trees are shedding their leaves, the breeze carries with it a certain chill, the days end abruptly as night takes over before you’re even home from work. It’s a desolate time of year, made worse by the fact that the calendar no longer has baseball games on it.
