Draft day has come and gone, complex leagues are already wrapping up – the babiest Mets are in the Florida semifinals this afternoon – and I am once again reminded that none of us knows a thing about prospects. There are a lot of people who specialize in scouting and projections, who are very good at their jobs, and even they would admit that baseball is an agent of chaos impossible to reliably predict.
But that’s not about to stop me.
